Box Score

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team beat Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Centenary College 2-0 Saturday afternoon.

It was a pretty skilled and fundamental game as Neumann once again came on top. Leading the charge for Neumann was Maria Tivoli and Meghan Garsey as they each scored a goal to give the Knights the victory.

Neumann started the game by almost scoring in three different opportunities. In the 10th minute Olivia Pryzbylkowski had a breakaway but failed to score. In the 16th minute Rosie Kays hit a beautiful kick from the side that went right off the post and seconds later almost scored again.

In the 24th minute Tivoli was fouled in the penalty box. Tivoli made the most of the situation and put Neumann on the scoreboard. The second goal was one that should be in the top plays for Sports center tonight. In the 87th minute Emily Sanders had a breakaway and she made sure that she was known for her field vision as she made a skillful and graceful pass to Garsey as she headed the ball into the goal for the game's second goal.

The first half Neumann had almost complete control of the game as they had possession the majority of the time. In the second half Centenary College came close twice, in the 67th minute they almost scored on a shot by Becky Camp from the side, but Briana King was there for the save. A minute later Cara Holmes almost scored on a great shot, but King's save was even better.

Next up for the Knights is Cairn University as they go on the road looking for their 4th win of the season.
