LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team continued its shutout streak with a 6-0 win at Cairn University on Tuesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Olivia Pryzbylkowski led the Knights with two goals. Nica Meccariello and Tonia Russo each notched a goal and two assists. Briana King made one save in net for the combined shutout with Jacqueline McAllister.
Russo put the first tally on the board in the fourth minute of play off an assist from Meccariello. Meccariello netted her goal in the 14th minute while Pryzbylkowski notched her first goal in the 17th minute to jump out to a 3-0 lead.
The score remained 3-0 until Nicole McAfee scored her first collegiate goal in the 60th minute. Alyson Hop scored six minute later for a commanding 5-0 lead. Pryzbylkowski capped the scoring with her second goal of the game in the 82nd minute.
The defense played outstanding, allowing just two Highlander shots and only one on net.
Neumann (4-3-1, 2-0-1 CSAC) will travel to Keystone on Saturday for more conference action beginning at 3:00 PM.
