Women's Basketball Explodes Past Falcons

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann Women's basketball team exploded offensively with an 81-29 win, defeating Cedar Crest College in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), Saturday afternoon.

Neumann used two balanced halves to beat the Falcons. The Knights walked into half leading 40-14 and they showed the quality in the second half taking a 41-15 advantage.

All guns were a blazing when the Knights jumped out to a 25-1 lead five minutes into the game. The Knights cooled down the scoring form, momentarily, but led 33-9 with just under six minutes remaining in the first half. The Knights walked into half with a 40-14 lead.

The second half was much like the first half, as the Knights scored at will and taking a 66-18 lead with less than 10 minutes in the game.

Erica Marvel led all scorers with 15 points. Nicole Fallon recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and JoHanna Metzger added 11 points.

The Knights (5-9, 3-3 CSAC) travel to Alvernia College Monday, January 14 at 7 p.m.
