ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team had an offensive explosion and defeated Cedar Crest College 9-0 on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Jordyn Agresta netted a hat trick for the Knights while also adding an assist. Brooke Harvey scored two goals and added an assist. Alexa DeRose, Emily Sanders, Victoria Pierson and Nicole McAfee also scored for the Knights.
Harvey scored the first and eventual game-winning goal in the 16th minute. McAfee and DeRose scored in the final five minutes of the first half to give the Knights a 3-0 lead at half time.
Sanders put the fourth goal in the back of the net 1:49 into the second half. Agresta notched her first goal in the 51st minute off an assist from Sanders. Ten minutes later, the senior scored her second goal, off a pass from DeRose.
In the 66th minutes, Pierson headed the ball in the back of the net, off an assist from Agresta. Agresta then scored her third goal in the 75th minute. Harvey capped the scoring in the 81st minute.
Rosie Kays made her debut in net and made five saves for the shutout win.
Neumann (5-7-1, 4-2-1 CSAC) hosts Cairn on Saturday on Homecoming in conference action.
