ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team celebrated senior day with a 2-1 win over Marywood University in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Saturday afternoon.
Prior to the start of the game, the Knights honored seniors Tonia Russo, Jordyn Agresta, Rosie Kays, Kayla Fuller and Alyson Hop.
Agresta then went and scored the first goal of the game in the 34th minute. She put the ball in the back of the net off a cross from Alexa DeRose.
In the second half, Russo threaded the ball to Emily Sanders, who beat the Pacer keeper, for a 2-0 lead in the 85th minute.
Marywood kept the pressure on and spoiled the shutout bid in the 87th minute. The Pacers took the ball off a goal kick and launched it over keeper Briana King's head. King finished the game with three saves, all coming in the second half.
Neumann moves to over .500, 8-7-1 overall and 7-2-1 in CSAC action. The Knights travel to Notre Dame on Thursday to wrap up regular season play.
