BALTIMORE, Md. – The Neumann University women's soccer team doubled up Notre Dame of Maryland University, 2-1, on Thursday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Emily Sanders tallied twice for the Knights. Briana King made two saves in net. Neumann outshot Notre Dame 21-6.
Sanders scored the first goal just 2:47 into the game. That goal stood as the lone goal until the 51st minute when the Gators tied the game.
Sanders then dribbled the ball around the Gator goalie in the 67th minute to give the Knights back the lead. Neumann held off Notre Dame for the 2-1 win.
Neumann finishes the regular season 9-7-1 overall and 8-2-1 in the conference. The Knights will be the No. 3 seed and will host a first round game on Monday.
