ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team advanced to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) semifinals and will travel to Cabrini on Wednesday. The game is slated to begin at 6:30 PM.
In the CSAC first round, the Knights blanked Immaculata 2-0. Emily Sanders and Brooke Harvey found the back of the net for Neumann.
The Knights are currently 10-7-1 overall and are in the postseason for the fourth straight season. Last year, Neumann advanced to the semifinals where it was knocked out by Cabrini, 1-0. The Knights will look to avenge the loss this season.
Earlier this season, the Knights defeated the Cavaliers 2-1. Alexa DeRose tied the game on a free kick in the 66th minute. Sanders netted the game-winner 10 minutes later. Briana King made seven saves in net.
The winner will face the winner of No. 1 Rosemont and No. 4 Centenary for the CSAC Championship on Saturday.
