Men’s Soccer to Heads to Marywood for CSAC Semifinal Action

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team defeated Baptist Bible College 2-0 in the first round of the Colonial States Atheltic Conference (CSAC) postseason and will travel to Marywood University for semifinal action. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM.

Joe Martinho opened the scoring 1:42 into the game when he sank a cross from Caleb Clanton. Tben Donnie gave the Knights an insurance goal in the 55th minute of a pass from Mike Atallian.

CSAC Player of the Year Alex Lacko only needed to make two saves in net for the shutout.

Earlier this season, the Knights fell to the Pacers 2-1 in overtime. Marywood took a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute of the game. Zach DiDonato tied the game at one off a corner kick with under three minutes left in regulation. Martinho drew the assist. The Pacers capitalized off a corner 1:49 into overtime to come away with the win.

In the other semifinal game, No. 2 Centenary hosts No. 3 Cabrini. The winners will face each other on Saturday at the highest remaining seed for the CSAC Championship.
