BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team's season came to an end with a 72-52 loss at Moravian College on Wednesday evening in ECAC South first round action.

Moravian is the No. 1 seed in the ECAC South Tournament while Neumann earned the No. 8 seed.

In their final game, Bethany Humenik led the Knights with 15 points while Laura Scott had nine points and six rebounds.

JoHanna Metzger added 14 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks. Nicole Fallon added five blocks of her own.

The Greyhounds took control of the game as they held an 8-5 lead and went on a 17-3 run to take a 25-8 lead with 11:04 left in the first half. Moravian built its lead to as many as 20 in the half, and took a 42-28 lead at the break.

The Knights got to within 12, 56-44, on a Scott bucket with 7:20 left in the second half. Moravian with the next seven points to build its lead back up to 19. The first half deficit was too much to overcome for Neumann.

Neumann ends its season 13-14 overall.
