ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team dropped a close 5-4 matched to Lancaster Bible College on Friday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Knights picked up two points in doubles action. The duo of Travis Hall and Todd Del Sordo won at second doubles 8-5. Jimmie Ferguson and Joel Maynard won third match at third doubles, 8-4.

Bryan Bodine won his singles match in the No. 3 slot 6-1, 6-1. Stephen Moran won sixth singles 6-4, 6-1. The match came down to No. 5 singles. Del Sordo battled, but fell in the third set3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (9-7).

“Close 5-4 matches are always the toughest, but the Knights worked hard today and will continue to battle”, said Coach Chamberlain. “We will continue to battle tomorrow in our first conference match and hope to pick up our first win!”

Neumann (0-3) will host Rosemont tomorrow as it opens conference action.
