ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team clinched a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) playoff berth with a 7-2 win over Cabrini College on Saturday afternoon.

Neumann started the match by taking two-of-three matches in doubles action. Joel Maynard and Bryan Bodine took first singles 8-5. Todd Del Sordo and Jimmie Ferguson won third doubles 8-1.

Ferguson kept the wining going in singles action, taking his sixth slot 6-4, 6-2. Bodine then won his second singles 6-3, 6-2. Travis Hall clinched the match in a battle at first singles, 2-6, 6-1, 6-1.

Maynard also battled at third singles, coming away with the 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 win. Del Sordo won his battle at fourth singles, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2.

“I am for happy for Travis as he clinched the match for us today,” said head coach Chamberlain. “We are so excited for the playoffs to begin. We are going to stay positive and prepare for this weekend.”

Neumann (7-7, 4-3 CSAC) will be the No. 4 seed in the CSAC playoffs and will face the No. 1 seed on Friday in the semifinals.
