ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season by a 1-0 score over Wesley College on Wednesday evening.

The win is the first win for Knights head coach Lauren Sciocchetti.

The lone goal of the game came in the 25^th minute. Becca Burkhart shot the ball up the field where Ashley Hawkins got her foot on it and launched it over the Wolverines keeper from the 18 yard line.

Neumann kept the pressure on throughout the game, coming away with 13 shots, six on net. Wesley did not go quietly, as Knights keeper Briana King made five saves in net for the shutout.

Neumann (1-6) will look to take the momentum on the road as it travels to Centenary for conference action on Saturday beginning at 12:30 PM.
