The Neumann Knights ACHA Men's Hockey team had an exciting first weekend on the ice. They started out with a two-day preseason tournament where they played Widener University, University of Maryland and Bloomsburg. The Knights got their first win against Widener with the final score of 7-2, but fell to University of Maryland Saturday morning 3-2. The team responded with a 5-2 victory over Bloomsburg to conclude the preseason tournament

There was a lot of excitement on the ice when the Knights took on Fordham University for their season opener at home on Sunday. The squad used the fan's support en route to a win, 7-2. Senior goalie, Jeff Radice did not let up any goals in his period and a half on the ice and fellow senior, Tim McCrane scored two goals over the course of the weekend.

Neumann is looking forward to their next game when they travel to Loyola University on Saturday, September 19.

After the weekend's action, the Team President Riley Hess said "We are looking to build off our success last season, and make Neumann the next great hockey school."
