ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team fell in a tough 3-2 overtime game to Arcadia University on Wednesday evening.
Jordyn Agresta opened the scoring in the seventh minute off a free kick by Alexa DeRose. Arcadia would net its goals in the 12th and 17th minutes to take a 2-1 lead into the half.
DeRose took advantage of another free kick in the 76th minute, sending the ball over the keepers head for her first collegiate, to tie the game at two.
As overtime started, Arcadia had a point blank shot, but Neumann keeper Briana King made the save and punched the ball over the net. However, in the 96th minute, Arcadia dribbled the ball down the field and this time found the back of the net for the win.
King finished with 14 saves in net for Neumann.
Neumann heads to McDaniel on Saturday for non-conference action beginning at 2:00 PM.
