Rugby Clubs - Playoff Updates

The Neumann University Rugby Clubs both made history, becoming the first Rugby teams in University history to qualify for postseason play.

The Women's Rugby Club, earned two impressive victories in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds, 51-0 and 22-0 versus Franklin and Marshall and Muhlenberg respectively, to advance to the championship of the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU) Tier II playoffs in Palmyra, PA on Saturday, October 25. Unfortunately, despite a valiant effort, the ladies fell, 15-5 to Susquehanna University in the final contest.

The Men's Rugby Club dropped their season finale, 31-24, at Ursinus also on Saturday to fall to the third seed in the EPRU East Division. As such, the Club will travel to Lewisburg, PA to battle Bucknell University in the postseason's opening round on Saturday, November 1. Game-time is set for 1:00pm.
