ST. DAVID'S, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team fell 8-1 at Eastern University on a cold Monday afternoon.

Many of the matches were close and could have gone either way. Stephen Moran picked up the only point for the Knights, winning 9-8 (7-5) in the fifth singles slot. Joel Maynard played a superset at third doubles, but ended up fall 9-8 (7-3). Bryan Bodine battled for three sets in first singles. After winning the first set 6-2, he fell 6-3 and 10-7.

The duo of Bodine and Maynard battled at second doubles, but ended up falling 9-7. Todd Del Sordo and Moran also played touch at third doubles, but ended up on the short side of an 8-6 score.

Neumann (3-3) will open its home schedule tomorrow against Albright beginning at 4:00 PM.
