Box Score

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team fell to Stevenson University 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Mustangs opened the scoring early, netting a goal just 1:09 into the game. The Knights had their chances to knot the game at one, but could not cash in. Stevenson netted an insurance goal in the 37th minute on a penalty kick.

After the first half, the shots were tied at five apiece. During the second half, the Knights held the Mustangs shot less and managed eight of their own. Unfortunately, as Neumann held the pace during the second half, it could not convert its chances, including one shot that hit the post.

Dan Jones made two saves in net. Tim Pickett led the Knights with four shots.

Neumann (0-6) will head back on the road for four straight games, beginning at Swarthmore next Wednesday. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
