DOVER, Del. – The Neumann University women's soccer team fell 2-1 at Wesley College on Thursday evening.
Ashley Hawkins got the Knights off to a quick start, putting Neumann on the board just 1:53 into the game on a breakaway.
Wesley tied the game at one in the 20th minute, capitalizing on a corner kick. As the first half was winding down, the Wolverines put the ball in the corner of the net for a 2-1 lead.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second half and the game remained 2-1.
Briana King made three saves in net.
Neumann (0-4) opens conference action this weekend at Rosemont. The game gets underway at 4:00 PM.
