Women's Soccer Makes it Two Straight

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team picked up a 5-1 win against Notre Dame of Maryland University in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Tuesday evening.

Emily Sanders netted two goals. Ashley Hawkins had a goal and an assist. Briana King made three saves in net.

Hawkins opened the scoring in the 22nd minute as she tipped the ball past the Gators keeper. Sanders gave the Knights a 2-0 lead as she put the ball in the back of the net off a pass from Hawkins in the 32nd minute.

Early in the second half, Alexa DeRose launched a ball into the air that went into the top of the net. The Gators broke onto the scoreboard in the 49th minute as they broke down the field and beat King one-on-one. Sanders then scored the Knights fourth goal off an assist from Brooke Harvey. Mary Hebbel capped the game with her first collegiate goal in the 82nd minute.

Neumann (2-6, 2-2 CSAC) will look for its third straight win on Saturday when it hosts Centenary. The CSAC match gets underway at 4:00 PM.
