GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team opened 2015 with a 58-45 win against Wilkes University at the Gettysburg Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

Jessica Schlesman led the Knights with 20 points. JoHanna Metzger added 18 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double while notching four blocked shots. Sarah Roberts netted 10 points.

With the score tied at six fine minutes into play, the Knights went on a 15-3 run to take a 21-9 advantage with seven minutes left in the first half. The Colonels ended the half on 7-2 run to cut into the Knights lead. Neumann was up 28-21 at the half.

The Knights would hold the lead throughout the second half and build a double-digit lead, 37-27, with 13:35 left in regulation. Neumann built its lead to as many as 17, 47-30, midway through the half and would keep Wilkes at arms length for the rest of the game for the 58-45 win.

Neumann (4-6) will face host Gettysburg tomorrow in the Championship game. Gettysburg defeated Hood in the first day 56-41. Action gets underway at 4:00 PM.
