ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a 2-1 loss at Rosemont College on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Christian Cortese scored for the Knights in the 12
th minute as he headed in a cross from
Andrew Kelly. Neumann held the 1-0 lead at the half.
The Ravens tied the game in the 63
rd minute on a free kick that made its way into the net after hitting the post. Rosemont scored the game-winner in the 81
st minute when it capitalized off a corner kick.
The Knights outshot the Ravens 13-6 overall and 9-4 on net.
Shane Smith made two saves in net.
Neumann (5-9-2, 4-4-1) will be the fifth seed in the CSAC postseason and will head to Centenary for first round action on Tuesday.
