ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University women's basketball team lost to Marywood University on Saturday afternoon in CSAC action.

Before the game, the Knights honored their only senior, Jessica Schlesman. The senior totaled 17 points, two assists and pulled down six rebounds.

JoHanna Metzger and Sarah Roberts both tallied eight points. Metzger also came down with 12 rebounds.

The first half was back and forth game. With the Pacers holding an 11-10 lead, they went on a 10-0 run for a 21-10 lead. Schlesman ended run with a layup. With Marywood leading 27-18, Neumann ended the half on an 8-0. The Pacers held a one point lead, 27-26, at the half.

Marywood started off the second half on a 9-2 run to build its lead to 28-37. The run was stopped on a jumper by Alex Fernandez. The Knights would get back to within two, twice, before the Pacers would build their lead up again. Neumann kept fighting but could not get over the hump to get back the lead.

Neumann (10-13, 7-7 CSAC) will host Immaculata for the final home game of the regular season on Monday evening. The CSAC action gets underway at 6:00 PM.
