ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team wrapped up Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action with a 9-0 win over Marywood University on Wednesday afternoon.
With the win, the Knights will be the No. 2 seed in the CSAC postseason and will face Marywood in the semifinals on Friday.
Neumann opened the afternoon with a sweep of doubles action. Dustin Broom and Benjamin Bright took first doubles 8-4. Todd Del Sordo and Trevor Hoopes also won 8-4 at second doubles. Travis Hall and Nick Manza wrapped up third doubles 8-1.
Hall had to battle at first singles, and came away with a 1-6, 6-2, 10-5 win. Del Sordo won fifth singles 6-0, 6-0. Manza took sixth singles 6-0, 6-1 and Hoopes won fourth singles, 6-1, 6-2. Broom (second) and Bright (third) each won their single sets 8-4.
Neumann (8-2, 6-1 CSAC) opens postseason action on Friday against Marywood.
