ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University softball team won the 2015 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship with a 7-2 over Cabrini College 7-2 on Saturday afternoon. This is the Knights' sixth conference championship overall and second in past three seasons.

Cabrini opened up the game by scoring a run to take a 1-0 lead. Neumann answered back by putting up a four spot in the bottom of the first. Four straight singles would plate three runs for the Knights. After a fielder's choice and a double by Williams, Scannella drove in the fourth run of the game for Neumann on a sacrifice fly.
Cabrini would add another run in the top of the second to cut the lead to 4-2, but Wilkie and the Knights defense would not allow another run. Neumann would score two more runs in the fifth on RBI from Scannella and Williams. The Knights added another run in the sixth on a RBI single by Grogan.
With the win, Neumann (30-7) receives the conference's automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament. The Knights will find out who they will play and where when the announcement is made on Monday.
