The 4-1 Neumann University Men's Rugby Club traveled to Collegeville, PA to square-off versus Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU) rival, Ursinus College (1-5). With a 32-10 victory, the club's quest for an Eastern Division crown remains alive.
Ricky Connelly opened the scoring at six minutes touching down the try. Steady possession and controlling the tackle area allowed Neumann to add two more trys before half as
Liam Ruddy burst 40 meters and
Santino D'Angelo ran in from five meters. Dave Andreozzi slotted the conversion for a 17-0 halftime lead.
The second half was much of the same with
Sean Spence,
John McNichol and Joe Madison adding trys. Ursinus added a pair of trys for the 32-10 final. The club returns to the pitch for a battle versus current division leader LaSalle University on Saturday, October 29. Game-time at Neumann is slated for 1:00 pm.
