10/31/2016 1:26:00 PM

ASTON, Pa. – Neumann University Director of Athletics and Recreation Chuck Sack announced the hiring of Brendan McNulty as the Head Coach of the institution's Club Basketball team.

McNulty, who played under current Neumann University NCAA Basketball Coach Jim Rullo at Malvern Prep, was a four-year walk-on member of the men's basketball team at Delaware University.  During his junior season, the Blue Hens earned a bid to the College Basketball Insider (CBI) postseason tournament playing at Butler University.

The team complied a 19-14 overall record during his senior year, highlighted by contests versus five of the six Philadelphia-based universities (Drexel, La Salle, UPenn, Temple, and Villanova) and a victory at University of Virginia that qualified Delaware for the NIT Pre-Season tournament at Madison Square Garden.

In addition to his duties at Neumann, McNulty serves as an ambassador and eight-time century rider for the 501(c)3 non-profit, Bike to the Beach.
The team is a member of the National Club Basketball Association (NCBBA) and will compete in the Mid-Atlantic-South conference. The conference also includes club teams from Delaware, John Hopkins, Rowan, St. Joseph's, and University of Maryland-Eastern Shore. Neumann will open the 2016-17 season with a three-game series at Rowan University on November 19, before hosting SJU on December 3-4. The conference schedule will then commence in Spring 2017.
