RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team fell at No. 12 Cabrini College 27-1 on Wednesday afternoon to open Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Adam Fagan scored for the Knights off an assist from
Connor McClelland.
Antonio Gibson made 12 saves in net.
The Cavaliers started quickly and took a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter. Fagan netted his goal with 7:47 left in the first quarter and Cabrini held the 7-1 lead after the first 15 minutes.
Cabrini turned up the heat in the second quarter and netted 11 goals for an 18-1 lead at halftime.
The Knights were able to get six shots off in the third quarter, but could not capitalize. The Cavaliers added five goals in the third and four in the fourth for the 27-1 final.
Neumann (1-5, 0-1 CSAC) will stay on the road and travel to Centenary College on Saturday afternoon. Face-off is slated for 12:00 PM.
