RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis wrapped up the regular season with a 6-3 win at Cabrini College on Tuesday afternoon to secure the No. 4 spot in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) postseason.
The Knights opened the match by taking two of three points in doubles action.
Zac Lazzaro and
Shane Galante won second doubles 8-5.
Andrew Wilbraham and
Jordan Collins took third doubles 8-2.
Trevor Hoopes and
Jake Davidson battled at first doubles, but fell 8-6.
In singles action, Neumann won third through fourth to take the match. Davidson won his match at third singles 6-2, 6-4. Galante took fourth singles 6-4, 6-3. At fifth singles, Wilbraham won by a score of 7-6 (7-4), 6-4. Collins wrapped up the match with a 7-0, 7-6 (7-4) win at sixth singles.
Neumann (4-5, 4-3 CSAC) will open postseason play on Friday against No. 1 seeded Gwynedd Mercy.
