ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team fell to Rosemont College 3-2 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Tuesday evening.
Jamie King got the Knights on the board in the sixth minute of the contest.
Morgan Ryan then put Neumann up 2-0 as she knocked in a corner kick from
Anna Attardi in the 13
th minute. The Knights held the 2-0 lead through halftime.
The Ravens struck and cut the lead in half with a goal in the 73
rd minute. Ten minutes later, Rosemont had a shot go off the post and into the net to tie the game at two. The Ravens weren't done as they scored the go-ahead goal two minutes later as the shot when over the Knights keeper's reach.
Neumann edged Rosemont in shots 22-16, but the Ravens outshot the Knights 10-4 in the second half.
Brittany Cullison made five saves in net.
Danni Elman led Neumann with six shots.
Neumann (4-6-1, 3-3-1 CSAC) will host Cairn in a CSAC match-up on Saturday as part of Homecoming weekend. The Knights will also celebrate senior day before the contest, which gets underway at 4:30 PM.
