CAMDEN, N.J. – The Neumann University men's tennis team returned to action Monday afternoon with a 7-2 loss to Rutgers Camden in non-conference action.
The match opened up with the Scarlet Raptors taking all three doubles contests to jump out to an early 3-0 lead.
Daniel Rival and
Rod Bradbury kept their match tight at first doubles, but fell by a score of 8-4.
As the match moved to singles, Neumann was able to pick up a pair of wins. Rival was victorious in first singles (6-4, 4-6, 10-6), while
Jordan Collins continued his excellent run of play with a win at fifth singles (7-5, 6-1). Unfortunately for the Knights, Rutgers Camden would take the remaining four matches to claim the 7-2 victory.
Neumann (4-5, 4-2 CSAC) is right back in action tomorrow for a pivotal conference showdown at Gwynedd Mercy University. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
