ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University men's tennis team won its second consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) matchup with a 9-0 victory over visiting Rosemont College on Monday afternoon.
The Knights opened the day by sweeping all three doubles matches. In first and third doubles, Neumann didn't drop a game, winning 8-0 in both matches. The Kingsway connection of
Daniel Rival and
Rod Bradbury were victorious in first doubles, while the pair of
Andrew Wilbraham and Billy "Silky" Swontek took home the shutout win in third doubles.
Zac Lazzaro and
Jordan Collins also won convincingly in second doubles by a score of 8-1.
As the match moved to singles, the Knights continued to roll. Rival continued his conference dominance in first doubles, winning his third straight conference match at first singles by a score of 6-0, 6-0. The rest of Neumann's lineup followed suit as Lazzaro (6-1, 6-2), Wilbraham (6-0, 6-0), Bradbury (6-1, 6-1), Collins (6-0, 6-1) and Swontek (8-0) prevailed in straight sets.
Neumann (2-3, 2-1 CSAC) returns to action on Friday, April 7
th when it plays host to Keystone College. Game-time is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
