The Neumann University Men's Rugby Club (2-1) took to the road Saturday (9/29) and picked up their second win of the season by topping Albright (0-3), 44-17.

Connor Gilden opened the scoring for the Knights six minutes in with his first score en route to a try hat trick. Emerson Phillips added the conversion. The Lions would rebound scoring on a NU turnover to make it 7-5, but that was as close as it would get. Liam Ruddy added his first of two trys along with a Gaetano Quintiliani and Gilden try to give Neumann the 24-5 advantage at the half.  

In the second half, Mike Raymond and Miles Howard got in on the scoring adding trys two minutes apart. A.J. DelleMonache led the offensive onslaught distributing the ball from his fly half spot. NU Coach Larry McManus said, "I really like A.J 's play today, he did the little things, rucked, tackled and set the pace."

Solid play at the ruck led to consistent phase play and overwhelming possession for the Knights. Bashing runs by Forwards Sean Spence and Bucknell game Man of the Match Dan Dumas helped Neumann record over 120 carries for gain.

The Knights dedicated the game to their Captain Tino D'Angelo and his family after the passing of his grandmother earlier in the week.

The club returns home to welcome PSU Berks on Saturday, October 13. Kick-off is slated for 4pm on the turf field.
