Cross Country Teams Head to Scranton for Atlantic East Championship Meet

ASTON, Pa. –The Neumann University men's and women's cross country teams will head to Scranton, Pa. to compete in the first ever Atlantic East Conference Championship meet this Saturday.

Kassie Lange leads the women's team into the conference championship fresh off a personal record performance at the Gettysburg College Invitational on October 13th. The sophomore standout ran a time of 29:15.9 in the 6K race to lead the Knights. Lange is joined on the women's team by Kiara Young-Jackson, Allison Mikula, Julia Howell, Briana McDonnell and Diamond Talley.

The men's team heads to Scranton with high expectations for their top runners of Tommy Andruszko, Stephen Battle and Nathan Hawk. All three runners are peaking at the right time after running well in Gettsyburg. Andruszko led the way with a time of 31.52.6, while Battle (32:31.7) and Hawk (32:37.0) came in right behind him. Khalil Queen and Andrew Donachie will also be competing in the event for Neumann in the event.

The meet is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM at Lakeland High School this Saturday, October 27th.
