ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University men's soccer team fell by a score of 4-0 in non-conference action versus Johns Hopkins on Tuesday evening.
Shane Smith and
Danny Lewis combined to make seven saves in the loss.
The Blue Jays opened the scoring just 11:30 into the game and didn't look back from there. Neumann's
Brady Simon had two quality chances midway through the frame, but could not convert them as Hopkins stayed in front. The visitors tacked on a second tally late in the half to head to halftime up 2-0.
The Knights looked to get back into the game in the second stanza, but Hopkins continued to control play. The Blue Jays scored two more goals in the final period of play to take home the comfortable 4-0 win.
Neumann (5-4-2, 1-0-1 Atlantic East) will get back to conference action this Saturday, October 13th for a Homecoming rivalry match versus Cabrini University. The battle for first place in the Atlantic East is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
