Men’s Soccer to Host Immaculata in Atlantic East Semifinal Action

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team will host Immaculata University in an Atlantic East Conference semifinal match-up on Thursday, November 1 at 7:00 PM.
 
The Knights went 5-0-1 in conference action to earn the No. 1 seed in the postseason. Immaculata is the No. 4 seed in the postseason. The Mighty Macs defeated Marymount 1-0 in overtime in first round action.
 
During the regular season, Neumann defeated Immaculata 3-2 in double overtime. Ainsley Reid scored the game-winning goal and added an assist. Marlon Trejo picked up a pair of assists. Jack Norwood and Nick Testa also scored for the Knights. Shane Smith made three saves in goal.
 
On the season, the Knights are led by Trejo and Gavin Ford, who have both scored six goals so far this season. Testa has added four goals. Four of Trejo's goals have been game-winners. He has also added a team-high four assists.
 
Smith has played in over 1,300 minutes in net and has a goals-against-average of 0.99. He has made 86 saves and tallied four shutouts over the 15 contests.
 
The other semifinal game will see No. 2 seeded Cabrini hosting No. 3 seeded Wesley. The winners of the semifinal games will meet at the highest remaining seed on Saturday for the first Atlantic East Championship.
