Women’s Basketball to Host Rosemont in CSAC First Round

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team is the No. 3 seed heading into the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) postseason. The Knights will host No. 6 seeded Rosemont on Monday evening in first round action.
 
Neumann finished the regular season 18-7 overall and 13-3 in conference action. Rosemont went 15-10 overall and 9-7 in the CSAC.
 
The Knights picked up two wins over the Ravens during the regular season. In the first meeting back on November 28 at home, Neumann came away with a 73-71 win. Mariah Maciejewski notched a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Nafisa Saunders hit double-figures adding 16 points and Minika Glenn netted 12 points and six assists.
 
On the road, Neumann came home with an 89-56 win. Saunders led the Knights with 36 points as she went 22-for-25 from the charity stripe. Glenn tallied 17 and Lauren Legler added 12. From the line, the team for 82.4% (28-for-34).
 
For the season, the Knights are being led by Saunders, who is averaging 18.6 points per game. Glenn adds 12.7 while Legler nets 10.3. Legler leads the team in three-pointers, making 42 this season.
 
The other first round game will feature No. 4 Marywood hosting No. 5 Centenary. The winners will advance to the CSAC semifinals on Wednesday evening at top seeded Cabrini and No. 2 seeded Gwynedd Mercy.
