Men's Soccer Drops Contest at Penn State Abington

ABINGTON, Pa. - The Neumann University men's soccer team dropped a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon, falling by a score of 5-0 to host Penn State Abington.

Dillon Rahe made his first career start in goal, stopping four shots in the loss.

The Nittany Lions jumped all over the Knights in the opening twenty minutes of play. The hosts scored three goals in that span, taking an early 3-0 lead that they would never relinquish. The score-line would remain the same at the half with Neumann trailing in shots by a count of 9-3.

Penn State Abington continued to roll in the second stanza. The Nittany Lions added a fourth goal in the 57th minute, followed by a fifth goal in the 66th minute to seal the comfortable 5-0 victory.

Neumann (2-7-1) will have a week to recover as it prepares for the opening game of Atlantic East Conference play next Wednesday, October 9th at Cabrini University. The rematch of last year's conference final is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
