DOVER, Del. – The Neumann University women's basketball team wrapped up regular season action on Saturday afternoon with an 80-73 Atlantic East Conference win at Wesley College.
 
Maia Bryson and Nafisa Saunders each netted 28 points in the win. Bryson hit eight three-pointers, which is second most in a game by a Knight. Chelsea Keebler added 15 points. Lauren Leicht handed out nine assists, also the second most in a game for the women.
 
The Wolverines started the game by scoring 13 of the first 15 points. The Knights chipped their way back into the game and cut the deficit to two, 15-13, with 1:25 left in the first quarter. Wesley took a 17-13 lead at the first break. Wesley continued to lead throughout the second quarter and took a 37-31 advantage into halftime.
 
Midway through the third quarter, a three-pointer by Keebler put Neumann up by one 42-41. The teams then traded baskets as the quarter continued and the Knights held a slight 52-50 lead heading into the final 10 minutes.
 
The Knights built an eight point lead 60-52, early in the fourth quarter. The Wolverines battled back and with 3:12 left in regulation the game was knotted at 67. Tied at 70 with 2:39, Neumann netted seven straight points for a lead heading into the final minute of regulation. It was a battle of free throws in the final minute and the Knights came away with the 80-73 win.
 
Neumann (14-11, 6-6 Atlantic East) will be the No. 4 seed heading into the postseason. The Knights will host No. 5 seeded Immaculata on Monday evening in a first round game beginning at 7:00 PM.
