Men's Tennis Returns to Win Column at Bryn Athyn

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team found its way back into the win column on Tuesday afternoon, picking up a 7-2 victory on the road at Bryn Athyn College in non-conference action.

The Knights dominated the match from start to finish on the afternoon despite missing a few players. Daniel Rival and Jordan Collins opened the contest with an 8-0 win at first doubles, followed by John Beck and Evan King taking home an 8-4 victory at second doubles. Bryn Athyn won by default at third doubles, but Neumann took a 2-1 lead into singles action.

As the match moved to singles, the Knights kept up their solid play. The visitors won five of six matches on the day, with the team's only loss coming by default at sixth singles. Rival and King were dominant at first and third singles without dropping a game (6-0, 6-0), while Collins, Beck and Zach Dakin also picked up straight-set wins for Neumann.

Neumann (6-2, 2-1 Atlantic East) will look to continue its momentum later this week when it takes on Rutgers University-Camden on Thursday, April 25th. The home match is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
