Box Score ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University men's soccer team couldn't find its way back into the win column on Saturday afternoon, falling on the road at Salisbury University by a score of 4-0 in its final non-conference game of the season.
 
Seth Walker made seven saves in goal in the loss.
 
The first half would be an evenly played affair with both teams creating a few solid chances. Neumann drew several fouls in the Salisbury end early in the contest and Marlon Trejo forced the Sea Gull keeper into two saves off of free kicks. The Knights also nearly scored late in the half, as an Eddie Proud shot from just outside the box sailed inches over the crossbar as the game remained 0-0. Salisbury's best chance to push its way in front came in the final minute of the half, as an attacker found himself behind the Neumann back-line. The Sea Gull forward was able to get a shot off, but Walker came off his line and made a huge sprawling save to keep the score at 0-0 heading to half.
 
Neumann hoped to parlay a great first half into another solid 45 minutes, but Salisbury had other ideas. The hosts scored just 1:50 into the second stanza to take a 1-0 lead, then tacked on two more tallies midway through the frame to jump out to 3-0 advantage. The Sea Gulls then capped off the scoring versus the shell-shocked Knights in the 75th minute with a fourth goal to seal the non-conference win.
 
Neumann (3-8) will look to shake off a tough end to its difficult non-conference slate of games before opening Atlantic East Conference action next Wednesday, October 6th at Gwynedd Mercy. Game-time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
