SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team fell at Marywood University 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon in an Atlantic East Conference match-up.
In doubles action,
Patrick Rudy and
Seth Walker battled to an 8-5 win in the second flight.
Evan King and
Sean Flannery came up just short at first doubles, 8-7 (7-5). The Pacers held a 2-1 lead after doubles action due to a forfeit at third doubles.
Rudy picked up Neumann's second point with a 7-5, 1-0 (retired) win in third singles. King battled his way at first singles, but fell 7-6 (7-5), 6-3. Walker also gave his opponent a fight at fourth singles, 7-5, 6-3 (10-5).
Neumann (0-3, 0-3 Atlantic East) will head to Cabrini on Friday for the regular season finale.
