RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse fell to a tough Cabrini University team, 19-5, on Saturday afternoon in the 2021 Atlantic East Conference Championship game.
Wyatt Belotti tallied two goals in the game on seven shots, five on goal.
Colin Blake,
Brett McLaughlin and
Justice Brovero each had a goal and an assist.
Drew Conlon had five shots, three on net, and tallied an assist.
Brendan Risley made 19 saves in net.
Jack Newswanger picked up eight ground balls and won 12 faceoffs. McLaughlin added five groundballs and caused three tunovers.
The Cavaliers scored four goals in the first quarter. After netting their fifth, McLaughlin put the Knights on the board. Belotti then scored the first of his two goals for a 5-2 game. Cabrini held an 11-2 lead at halftime.
Brovero scored for Neumann in the third quarter. Blake and Belotti netted a goal for the Knights in the fourth quarter to round out their scoring.
Neumann wraps up the 2021 season 6-4.
