Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Second Half Downs Knights to Falcons

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team fell to Cedar Crest College 3-1 on a windy Thursday afternoon.
 
Neumann tallied to the only goal in the first half in the 31st minute. Emily Montague kicked a free kick into the box and a Falcon defender headed the ball into the net for an own goal. The Knights took the 1-0 lead into halftime.
 
Cedar Crest tied the game at one in the 51st minute after a free kick scramble in front of the Neumann net. The Falcons took the lead on with a penalty kick in the 58th minute. Cedar Crest added an insurance goal in the 77th minute on a breakaway.
 
Leona Macrina made five saves in net for the Knights.
 
Neumann (2-2) will host the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday afternoon beginning at 4:00 PM.
