ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team opened the 2022 campaign with a 5-4 win over Penn State Brandywine on Friday afternoon.
The Knights opened doubles play by taking two of the three points.
Daniel Bonowski and
Justin McCullen teamed up for an 8-4 win at first doubles. The duo of
Vince Landis and
Anthony Carpinella picked up an 8-4 win at second doubles.
McCullen won his flight at second singles as well, by scores of 6-2, 6-3. Landis took third singles 6-1, 6-0.
Joe Troilo won his match at sixth singles, 6-1, 6-3, to seal the win for the Knights.
Neumann (1-0) will host Penn State Abington next Wednesday. Action is slated to get underway at 3:00 PM.
