READING, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw at Albright College on Saturday night.
Leona Macrina made four saves in net in the shutout. The Knights backline played strong as well in the win. Neumann tallied two shots on goal, one by
Chloe Britton and the other by
Kaitlin Thomas.
Two Albright shots came in the final six minutes of the contest, but Macrina was there to make the saves and keep the Lions off the scoreboard.
The Knights had three corner-kick in the games but could not convert. Albright outshot Neumann 6-2 overall and 4-2 on goal.
This is the first game ending in a tie for the Knights that did not head into overtime. The NCAA ruled that overtime would no longer be played during the regular season and the games would end in a tie after 90 minutes of play.
Neumann (0-3-1) travels to Eastern on Tuesday afternoon beginning at 4:30 PM.
