ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann women's soccer team lost at Cedar Crest College on Wednesday night by a score of 3-1.
Lex Navarro made seven saves between the pipes for Neumann. The Knights had a total of 11 shots, seven on goal.
Liz Purcell,
Rebecca Spence, and
Anna Poehlmann each had a pair of shots in the contest.
Cedar Crest started the game off with a quick score, finding the back of the net in the 6
th minute. The Falcons added another goal in the 33
rd minute for a 2-0 lead at the half.
The Falcons added to their lead in the 53
rd minute. Neumann outshot Cedar Crest 7-4 in the second half and in the 80
th minute,
Chloe Britton broke through to get the Knights on the board. Neumann had one more shot on goal in the final three minutes but could not score again and fell 3-1.
Neumann (1-5-2) stays on the road and heads to Rosemont on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 PM
