HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team came back to tie Penn State Harrisburg 2-2 on Wednesday evening.
The Lions got on the scoreboard first, scoring in the 16
th minute. Penn State Harrisburg took a 2-0 lead with a goal at the 30
th minute mark. The Lions outshot the Knights 8-1 in the first half.
The Knights started their comeback in the 67
th minute when
Eddie Proud converted a penalty kick to cut the deficit in half. As time was winding down,
Chris Siemien pulled Neumann even at two in the 86
th minute.
Jake Kuzmick drew the assist on the game-tying goal.
Carson Metzger made the start in net and made five saves. Each team had three shots in the second half.
Neumann (2-6-1) opens conference action next Wednesday when it hosts Cabrini. Action is slated to get underway at 4:00 PM.
