ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Soccer team, on Tuesday evening, will head to Arlington, Virginia as the No. 4 seed to take on the No. 2 seeded Marymount University Saints in the Atlantic East Conference tournament.

The Knights, on the strength of their first-round win over Centenary, improved their overall record to 7-5-4. Neumann went 2-1-3 in conference action. Anna Poehlmann, Dylan Brown, Catherine Miller, and Chloe Britton were the goal scorers in the 4-0 win over the Cyclones while Alexis Navarro made two saves.

Miller is the leading goal scorer for the Knights with seven, including three game-winners. Chloe Britton is right behind her with six, and the duo of Ebony Arvelo and Poehlmann have four each.

Navarro has 11 starts on the year, logging over 940 minutes. She has a save percentage of 80.6 and a 1.14 goals against average, leading to five shutouts and one combined shutout with her counter-part, Sarah Andreano.

In their only meeting this year, which was the regular season finale, the Knights and Saints ended in a scoreless draw. Navarro made three saves and Jaclyn Burmood had two of the four shots on the Marymount goal.

The other semifinal will feature the No. 1 seeded Marywood University Pacers and the No. 6 seeded Gwynedd Mercy University Griffins. The winners will meet on Saturday, at the home of the highest remaining seed, to crown the 2023 Atlantic East Conference champion, and the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
