SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Neumann University softball team dropped a pair of contests at Swarthmore on Sunday afternoon by scores of 10-6 and 7-0.
 
The Knights struck first, plating two runs in the top of the first. 
Christina Ludovico and 
Bri Reim opened the game with back-to-back walks. Ludovico scored as 
Kristen Pagliaro reached on an error. Reim came around to score on a single by 
Ashley Leicht.
 
The Garnet took a 3-2 lead in the second, then added five runs in the third. In the fifth, 
Cecelia Mick led off with a double and came around to score. In the sixth, Pagliaro hit a two-run double for a 10-5 score. 
Emily DuPont walked to lead off the seventh and came around to score on an RBI fielder's choice by 
Emily Ammon.  
 
Swarthmore no-hit the Knights in the second game. Neumann did draw six walks. 
Ashley Mazzeo pitched 2.2 innings in relief and allowed just one hit.
 
Neumann (5-14) heads to DeSales on Friday in the final tune-up before conference action. First pitch of the doubleheader is slated for 3:00 PM.
