ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's tennis team improved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in Atlantic East Conference action with a 6-3 win over Immaculata University on Tuesday afternoon.
The Knights opened the match by taking two of three doubles matches. The duo of
Joe Troilo and
Anthony Carpinella won 8-2 at second doubles.
Logan Gorbitz and
Anthony Andrews also picked up an 8-2 win at third doubles.
Vince Landis took his match at second singles 7-5, 6-3. Carpinella won 6-4, 6-2 at fourth singles. At fifth singles, Gorbitz won 6-3, 6-4.
James Leuzzi wrapped up the wins for the Knights with a 7-5, 6-2 win at sixth singles. Troilo battled at third singles, winning the first set 6-2, but fell 6-3, 6-4 in the next two.
Neumann (4-0, 2-0 Atlantic East) will host Rowan College of South Jersey on Thursday beginning at 5:00 PM.
